Candle Care

How do I maximize my candle's life span?

On the first burn, allow the melt pool to reach the edges of the container before extinguishing; this can take up to 3 hours depending on the size of your candle. This will ensure a more even burn throughout the life of the candle, prevent tunneling, and provide the best scent throw.

How do I get the best burn?

It's very important to trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before each burn, to help encourage an even melt pool and minimize smoking.

What is the ideal burn time for my candle?

Suggested burn times for each of our candles:

  • Large: 3-4 hours
  • Small: 1.5 - 2 hours
  • 3-wick: 2 hours

When should I stop burning my candle?

Stop burning and dispose of (or recycle!) your candle when there is 1/2" of wax left. Otherwise, the jar can become too hot, causing it to break or shatter and posing a fire hazard.

As always, do not leave a burning candle unattended, and keep out of reach of children, pets, and drafts.
